c) The Board of Directors
The Board of Directors forms a monitoring entity for the institutions that support the university as well as the larger private sponsors. It is responsible for making certain that appropriations are not misused for private interests and that there is no mismanagement in the context of the university.
In keeping with the character of this committee the Board of Directors will receive on a regular basis statements of accounts from the Management and Executive Staff. At the same time the Board of Directors can register a veto in the financial and academic matters through a two-thirds majority. In academic questions the Board of Directors should seek counsel from the Scientific Advisory Board. In principle the members of the Executive Staff and at least one elected member of the Senate should be present at such meetings.
Members of the Board of Directors may not belong to any other institution of the Nihal European University in Sudan.
